Author note: from author understanding, torma can be use for many reason such as increase prosperity, wealth , lessen famine , end war and conflict depending on the ingredient use for the making torma and the type of pattern, colour that it is made.  if the torma are meant to be toss out to be feed to animal, do make sure it is eatable type of torma (it is not good to cause animal to get sick from eating non-eatable torma . the same goes for if it is intend to let spirits feast on it - through burning torma)

author note: since it has been through 2 thousand years+, i found that some of the translation of buddha sutra in internet may end up contradict each other . for example : one says if one isn't watchfulness, one is equal to dead person  while another said if one isn't heedlessness , one is equal to a dead person (both are use for the same topic) . so you have to be particularly careful checking the source of what you read  and inspect yourself what the buddha said is true.
