Success Secrets of Wealth – The Richest Man In Babylon (FD25082020-7)

The Richest Man in Babylon written by George S.Clason is another book that written on Success in wealth. It is a book written in 1920 yet which I found it quite informative in the form of story telling. While I haven’t finish reading the entire book, I already found that the first few chapters are very useful. Below are some of the wealth rules listed in the book:

Rules Of Wealth Acquisition:

1. Start thy purse of fattening – The fattening of the purse here actually meant that one must save regularly whenever one receives income. When one spends less than what one earn a month, the purse which keep the gold will eventually increase.
2. Control thy expenditures – This mean that a human had a lot of desire and wanted to buy a lot of thing. Yet, not everything is actually worth it as some are only instant gratification. Therefore one is advised to control your expenditure so that you are using it for things that really matter.
3. Make thy gold multiply – This is the stage where one are making investment so that their gold will produce children and then the children gold will produce grandchildren for you. It is another word for those who prefer to call it as army that helps you in your wealth quest.
4. Guard thy treasure from loss – One must protect one wealth from loss.
5. Make of Thy dwelling a profitable investment – This is very interesting as unlike the other book, it encourage you to have your home as an asset in a way that one can provide home for their family and the only expenses incur will be should be only left taxes.
6. Insure a future income – This law is stated so that one should learn how to insure a future income for their next generation.
7. Increase thy ability to earn. – In other word, when you increase your ability to earn, you can earn more. Then you can acquire your wealth faster than you thought.

This is another good book, which has simple guideline on how to acquire wealth as well as protect your wealth, which one should consider getting if one really wants to be richest man. It is also excellent for those who prefer simple language in story telling style as this book holds the secret to acquiring money; keeping money and making money earn more money.
