- ketu is a shadow planet in India astrology which the origin are rather interesting. Ketu is actually a demon who disguised himself as a god to attend an invitation which the Lord Vishnu actually meant for the god and goddess of the planets which is the sun , moon , mercury , venus , jupiter , saturn (and the author think uranus , neptune and pluto are invited too). it was actually an invitation for the gods to drink the amrita nectar. during the invitation, the sun and moon found out that the demon actually wasn't invited. so the sun and moon reported to the lord Vishnu about it where Lord Vishnu immediately chopped the demon head off from its body. Since the demon had already taken a sip of the amrita , the demon  cannot die from the chop. and therefore the head of the demon came to known as the rahu shadow planet while the demon body is known as the ketu shadow planet. if the author are not mistaken, both rahu and ketu later on did a lot of penance for offended the Lord Vishnu.Because Rahu is the head of the demon, therefore a lot of plot scene like manipulation , plot scheme , wanting to be famous , materialistic are under Rahu influence. Because ketu do not have a head, therefore ketu planet decided to follow spirituality which is why Ketu is thought to make a person heading toward spiritual life. and also because ketu do not have head , and therefore cannot be easily identify the being belong to which race, caste and so on.
