The most simplest statement is that if the soup you boil is over 120 degree, if you try to take in the soup at this degree, you might get your tongue burn. However, if you do nothing and waited a while until the degree drop to a warm soup, you may enjoy the soup in its best flavour. The same can be applied in the heated argument, it maybe best for both party to cool down sometime first.
