The softest thing under heaven is able to run in and out of the hardest mean that even when there are something is hardest in the world which is sayed to be unbreakable, once it came in contact with its opposite element, it will eventually run out. And thus the soft can go in and out of the hardest safely.

This concept is similar to the theory where when water is able to make a hole into a stone after a long time . And there are instances where the concept of martial art such as Tai chi are developed.

Therefore, when one encounter difficulty with situation that is hard, one may try to use the soft approach and the situation may resolve completely.
